Choose SCITT places in the East Midlands, the Yorkshire and Humber, the East and North East of England, Primary School Direct (salaried and fee-paying) places with the Pudsey Primrose Hill Primary School Consortium based in Leeds/Bradford Schools or Primary/Secondary School Direct places with the Northern Education Trust (North East of England) led by Dyke House College, Hartlepool.

Our Primary programmes, leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), prepare trainees to teach within the Primary (3-11) phase.  Primary trainees follow either a Primary (3-7 years) or Primary (5-11 years) pathway.

Secondary QTS programmes prepare trainees to teach within the Secondary (11-19) phase.  Secondary trainees follow the Secondary (11-16 years) pathway.

All trainees have the option to study for an additional PGCE, validated by Leeds Beckett University (see below for fees).

SCITT

Primary and Secondary SCITT places are available in Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Yorkshire and the Humber, the Midlands and the North East.

Our Secondary SCITT subjects are Art & Design, Biology, Chemistry, Computing, Dance, Design & Technology, Drama, English, Geography, History, Maths, Modern Languages, Music, PE, PE with EBacc, Physics and RE.

To train with Educate Teacher Training you find your own training school in your choice of location.  We have regional hubs in Grantham, Middlesbrough or Leeds to which you must be able to travel for centre-based training.

The fee for the programme, which leads to QTS, is competitively priced at £6,000.  You are likely to be eligible for a student loan to cover the tuition fee and help with living expenses whilst studying.  Visit the SLC website for more information.  You may also be eligible for a training bursary.  An integrated, additional PGCE option is offered at a cost of £2,000, for which no further student loan, bursary or grant is available.

School Direct (salaried)

  • Apply to Pudsey Primrose Hill Primary School for Primary salaried places in the Leeds/Bradford area.  An integrated, additional PGCE option is offered at a cost of £2,000 for which no further student loan, bursary or grant is available.

School Direct (fee-paying)

  • Apply to Dyke House Sports and Technology College for Primary and Secondary fee-paying places in the North East, within the Northern Education Trust. The Secondary subjects offered are Art & Design, Biology, Chemistry, Computing, Design & Technology, English, Geography, History, Maths, Modern Languages, Music, PE, Physics and RE.
